How do you find out if your computer cd-drive burns to dvd's?

It plays dvd's but I can't appear to find out if it will burn dvd's. I checked the driver and it's TSSTcorp CDW/DVD TS-L462C. How do I find out?

with this you are merely able to play dvds not burn them, you want a cd/dvd rewriter! then you can burn anything, if you can or enjoy someone who can install it you can usually buy onone for between 50 and 100 dollars depending on the brand!good luck!!
According to Photodex, your CD-drive will not burn DVDs, it will read them, in recent times not write them.
by what you typed it is a cd re writer and dvd player combo! see the cdw/dvd you typed? you look at that! and it will say if it have dvdr or dvdrw on it then it will but this doesn't! you can merely burn cds
