How does a binary clock work?

How does a binary clock work?

The blinking lights of the binary clock indicate out the time using rows and columns. With 3 different brightness settings. The binary clock uses 6 columns of LEDs each representing a few value from 0-9. The first two columns on the not here represent the hours, middle 2 being minutes and the right paw 2 as being second.

Each columns value is calculated by which LEDs are lit. Well that’s it I’m lost. Just trust us on this one that its newly cool to have one – even if you cant work out how to narrate the time on it.
