How do you defrag a rugged drive and how regularly should you do so?
Assuming you're using Windows XP, Disk Defragmenter can be found at Start -> All Programs ->Accessories -> System Tools.
I defragment something like every week. You should also defrag before and after installing software that uses lots of space.
the just reason you enjoy to defrag your windows computer every month or so is because EVERY program you upen up, especially games, have their own files that they constantly open up when you start the program or activity, when you close the program you opened window puts the folders it opened somewhere different, so when you clear the program again it will be slow every time you open it after you close it, when you defrag the computer window puts the misplaced files back where on earth they belong. how to defrag a computer is already answered by the other computer genius
