how do you defrag your disc?

Click on start, be in motion to program, go to bits and pieces, go to system tools. Defragmenter is what you are looking for.

considering you enjoy windows xp, click start afterwards click my computer. then right click on the drive u want to defrag, right click later select properties. click on the tools tab on top and then you should see defragmentation on that skylight.
Disc defrag is very smooth to do. First, go to your Start Menu within the lower lefthand corner of your screen. Choose settings, control panel. From the control panel eyeshade, go to administrative tools, next to Computer Management. The disk defragmenter should be under that. Double click and click on the button that say defragment.
Why not just person in charge over to Microsoft...
If you are running WinXP, there are 2 ways to acquire good results from defrag. A. Safe & Simple: start XP surrounded by Safe Mode (See WinXp "Help and Support"). Run Defrag by itself so it won't have to concord with the pagefile or compete near other applications. B. If & only if you are up to date with modifying the Registry: Create a system restore point &/or backup the registry, next:

1. Launch the Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).

2. Go to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE

\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVers...

\RunOnce

3. Right-click the RunOnce subkey and select

New > String Value.

4. Name the value Defrag and press

[Enter] twice.

5. Type Defrag.exe c: /f surrounded by the

Value Data text box, and click OK.

6. Close the Registry Editor and

restart Windows.

Defrag will run as soon as you boot up and will hold no interference giving maximum results.
