How do you strip a hard-drive?

I caught surrounded by virus, so I want to reload the operating system to clean everything sour. Does anyone know how to do this in a locked and easy instrument?

Google the word "gwscan" and download it. it's a very small program that will write zero to your disk thus totally erasing it (well not totally, but it's as close as you're ever going to get.) After the gwscan does it's entity, you can proceed on to reinstalling windows. Hope this help. :)



P.S. to prevent this from happening again i'd suggest Norton Internet Security. It's a really well brought-up Antivirus Program as well as a moral firewall. I've ran that for years and hold had no problems even so. Good Luck!!

I have a dell and they walk me thru it or should i say did it thru remote.You use the F12.Shut down ,and on start up you hold down the ctrl and alt key.Then before your laptop even gets going at adjectives,as soon as you push the power on button start clicking the F12 key,while holding dowm the ather key i said.Sometimes you have to do it a couple of times to attain it to go into the boot page.Once surrounded by there, arrow down to item 4 on the register,cant remember the name.Once you do that its adjectives directions they give you.It will clear it as the hours of daylight you got it.Have to do adjectives your other downloads.Remember you lose everything.
