How does a cd spin?

you lay the cd on the tray, push it contained by, the computer reads it. simple adequate. but how does the computer physically spin the CD/DVD? just curious. appreciation

Hm..I don't know exactly what you are asking. The disk is spun using a small low current, 12V motor attached to a spindle that moves up through the slot surrounded by the bottom of the tray. When you put a cd surrounded by an old-fashioned walkman, concentration how you put the hole in it over this little cylinder piece. If you look, the cylinder is on a sort of platform. The platform and cylinder are attached to a motor, which spins it, and if there is a cd surrounded by the drive, the whole entry will spin.

The same thing applies to the modern cd players and drives, just the cylinder comes up from underneath the disk instead of being placed onto it.
