It is a very biddable card, but if your planing to upgrade to Vista as soon as it comes out I would go next to a 8800GTS instead. Vista will have DirectX 10 and the 7950GT supports just DX9.

My computer have very little space on it due to dl music and movies and I lately wanted to move them to the harddrive. Hm..I don't know exactly what you are asking. The disk is spun using a small low current, 12V motor attached to a spindle that moves up through the slot surrounded by the bottom of the tray. I would suggest using RipIt4Me/DVD Shrink/DVD Decrypter. This will allow you to burn an archival copy, subsequent. RipIt4Me will create a full-sized DVD file you can play near Nero, Power DVD, etc.. It also rips Disney and Sony DVD's, removes those large blank areas, and a few other obstacles to a apposite rip.



All 3 of these programs are free. Can be a little daunting, at first, but it's really unforced once it's set up. RipIt4Me is also well-supported by users who feel you should know how to back-up your DVD's in armour of damage, robbery, etc..
You would need a dvd copier that can copy protected dvds. I muse a program called nero can do it, but you would own to pay for it.
Nero (which ships beside most DVD burners) won't rip DVDs that are copy protected, only ones that are not. DVD ripper, DVD Shrink, and a program call Clone can.
